Mikenzie is a retired Police Officer, P.O.S.T. Certified Handgun and Rifle Instructor, Certified Conceal Carry and Home Defense Instructor, Certified Miniature Red Dot Sight (MRDS) Instructor, Certified Red Dot Precision Shooter and Certified Glock and S&W armorer. 

Mikenzie is a Verified Firearms Instructor out of Larimer County, Colorado.

Mikenzie's passion for civil service led her to becoming a Police Officer in Northern Colorado. Mikenzie spent her time as an Officer serving and connecting with the people in her community. During her time as a Patrol Officer, she held several other duties including Firearms Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, K9 Decoy and Field Training Officer. After years of departmental instruction, Mikenzie quickly realized she enjoyed teaching and spent much of her time training other Officers. 

Mikenzie found she particularly loved tactical training, spending most of her spare time at the shooting range and seeking out additional tactical trainings to hone her skills. Mikenzie attended Basic Operator SWAT School (BOSS) in 2021 and was chosen as the top student of her class by her instructors. 

Mikenzie continued her own training through her career and pursued competitive shooting. She competed in The Tactical Games in May of 2023 and won first place of her division. Shortly after, she suffered a career changing injury at work which ultimately led to leaving her agency in August 2024.  Afterwards, she spent time as an Instructor at a Law Enforcement Academy in Northern Colorado and is now the Assistant Director of the Law Enforcement Academy at Red Rocks Community College. Aside from administration duties, Mikenzie regularly teaches firearms, academic and tactics classes to the academy cadets.  She lives with her husband, who is also a Police Officer in the area, and their three rescue cats Rabbit, Ella and Ghibli. 

Armed Ally Training was founded in October of 2024 when Mikenzie recognized the need for not only competent firearms and defense training that is openly welcoming to women and members of minority groups, but training that is woman-led in a male dominated field.
