Mikenzie provides 1 on 1 sessions and is experienced and excited to help you at any level grow your skills, comfort and competency around firearms manipulation and handling. 

Skills that can be covered include: 

- Basic Universal firearms safety rules

- Understanding of handgun/ rifle mechanisms

- Understanding of what ammunition to use and how bullets work

- Safe handling with weapons in home, cars, and carried on persons 

Range Drills will cover concepts of: 

- Loading/unloading weapon 

- Firearms assembly/disassembly and cleaning 

-  The Fundamentals of Marksmanship (stance, grip, point of aim, breathing, trigger manipulation and follow through)

- Identifying the four types of weapon malfunctions (failure to feed, fire, eject, or extract) and how to fix them

- Precision with speed

- Recoil management 

- Positional shooting 

- Strong and support one-handed shooting 

- MRDS (Miniature Red Dot Sight) transition and precision 

- Controlled stress inoculation 

- And more! 

Rates: 

-Mikenzie changes a flat rate of $30.00/ hour for online training and $45.00/ hour for 1:1 range training, plus the cost of ammunition, targets, range and firearm rental. 

-The conceal carry and home defense (CCW) class and certification class is an in-person 8-hour course which includes 6 hours of classroom and two hours of live fire range training with a written and practical test to acquire a conceal handgun permit (CHP) in Colorado. Price for the CCW course is $150.00. A class with less than 4 enrolled students will be postponed. 

Mikenzie is located in the Loveland Colorado area, but can travel to you, or a range near you, up to 60 miles. Additional rates may apply for travel distance. 

Availability:

Instruction is available Saturdays or Sundays, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. 

Gun Rentals: 

If you do not currently own a handgun/rifle, there are rental options for full-sized and compact handguns, or rifles available which include a $20 cleaning fee.
